Endorphins!
Who doesn't love a good natural high? I love the way I can be dragging before I hit the gym and once I get into the swing of things and the endorphins kick in I have tons of energy for the rest of the day. My body always feels loose and limber and my mind almost seems clearer. ..even though I spend my entire workout thinking about things going on in my life.

Salty, Messy Kisses!
I LOVE my children. They are my joy in life. It seems everyday they are growing, learning and maturing. As I sat on the floor diligently taping off windows to prepare for painting, Allie came over to sit on my lap. She smiled up at me with the cheesiest, orangest, messiest Dorito face I have ever seen. She puckered up and planted a big kiss on my cheek. My first reaction was to wince, and then I realized the amazing feat that had just happened. Allie puckered. Big woop right? Right! Allie has dealt with a speech problem for the last year. To see her have the muscular control to round her lips and pucker made my day.

#1 The Sunshine!
I've just spent a week in San Diego. Every morning featured thick black clouds, a cool chill to the air, and no sun. Granted the clouds burned off by 1 or 2 but those mornings of deprivation left me seriously deficient. The first thing I did when we returned home was to stand, facing the sun, arms outstretched. I felt immediately restored. I LOVE THE SUNSHINE.
I love the way it penetrates the cold. I like the way my car seat back gets really hot and eases my back pain when I settle in against it. I love being able to dry clothes in minutes on the line. I also love using good ole sunshine as a disinfectant for items that cannot be bleached, or run through the clothes washer or dishwasher.
I grew up in Rochester, NY. We got very little sun there. NY has a comparatively higher rate of cancer than Arizona and other places that have significantly more sun exposure. I choose to believe there is a correlation.
Sunshine makes me happy, its golden rays and the way it helps the flowers grow :-)

Welcome!
As I was sitting on the beach the other day, watching my children play and the waves roll in, I realized there are so many things in life that make me happy. I decided to commit to 365 blog entries featuring a different one each day.
